Competition Terms & Conditions

 

1. Definitions

“SAFC” means Sunderland Association Football Club Limited; “the Winner” means the person who is chosen as the winning entrant to each competition; “the Promoter” means Sunderland Association Football Club Limited.

 

2. General

2.1 The competition will run between the dates stipulated.

2.2 Entries submitted before the open date and time and/or after the closing date and time will not be considered.

 

3. Restrictions

This competition is open to residents of the UK (including Northern Ireland) aged 16 (sixteen) years and over only.  Employees (and members of their immediate family) of SAFC, their agents and anyone connected to this particular competition are not eligible to enter.

 

4. Rules to participate

 

4.1 All entrants must be aged 16 (sixteen) years or over.

 

4.2 Entry is via the methods stipulated by SAFC.

 

4.3 One entry can be made by each participant.  

 

4.4 The Winner consents to SAFC using the Winners winning entry including any photography, imagery, and names being used on SAFC promotional channels both printed and digital.

 

4.5 No purchase of any goods or services is necessary to be eligible for entry into this competition.  There is no charge for entering the competition.  However entrants must ensure that they have the bill payer’s permission to use any landline, mobile telephone or internet service prior to entering the competition.

 

4.6 There is no charge to register with SAFC’s website.

 

5. Prize(s)

 

5.1 The Winner(s) will receive, courtesy of SAFC, the prize;
 

There are no alternatives to the prize, the prize is as stated and is non-transferrable. If due to circumstances beyond the control of SAFC they are unable to provide the stated prizes, SAFC reserve the right in its absolute discretion to substitute the prize for a similar prize of equivalent or greater value. 

 

6. Results

 

6.1 The Winner will be notified by SAFC’s Digital Media Team or named partner collaborators.

 

6.2 The winning entry will be chosen by SAFC after the advertised closing date. SAFC's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be notified by email/telephone as soon as possible.

 

6.3 If the Winner of the prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by SAFC’s Digital Media Team, SAFC will be entitled to select an alternative Winner from the entries to the competition or dispose of the prize as it thinks fit without any liability to the original winner.

 

7. General Conditions

 

7.1 Any entry, which does not comply with the rules, may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of SAFC.  SAFC is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incorrect, garbled, delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to mobile entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of delivery.

 

7.2 All entrants agree that they may be required to take part in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include their names and/or entries.

 

7.3 SAFC will monitor the nature of all entries and all tweets associated with the competition.

 

7.4 Entrants should note that any abusive, racist or derogatory entries will be deleted and the perpetrator will have their account reported to their service provider and if appropriate, the Police Authority.

 

7.5 By entering this competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material, which may be amended or varied at any time by the Promoter.

7.7 SAFC reserve the right to cross-reference entries with our database of supporters of rival clubs, and deem entries invalid in cases where rewarding the prize may impact public safety. Such instances would include ticket giveaways.

 

8. Data protection

 

8.1 In order to participate in the competition participants must provide certain personal information. This personal information is collected and processed for the purposes of organising, running and monitoring the campaign, as well as for carrying out publicity activities on it. 

 

8.2 The Promoter shall be considered the data controller for the database containing this personal information.

 

8.3 In entering into the competition, the entrant agrees that SAFC may use their data for promotional purposes.  SAFC will not pass any data onto any third parties.

 

9. Jurisdiction

 

9.1 This Competition and the rules are governed by English Law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
